Sectors

We've worked
where it's hard.

Regulated platforms, live event traffic, payment flows that cannot drop a transaction, and compliance rules that change under you. Our team has built and run software in sectors where getting it wrong is expensive — and that experience is what you're hiring.

Gaming &
Gambling

In a licensed operation, a failed transaction isn't a bug — it's a compliance incident.

Our team has worked on platforms where every balance change has to be auditable, every player interaction has to respect self-exclusion and affordability rules, and the regulator can ask for a full trail at any time. That shapes how you build: idempotent transactions, immutable audit logs, and a hard line between what the product wants to do and what it is permitted to do.

It also means understanding the operational reality — KYC and age verification that has to pass without destroying conversion, responsible-gambling controls that actually intervene, and the reporting obligations that come with a licence.

Where we're useful
Player account & wallet systems
KYC, age & identity verification
Responsible gambling controls
Self-exclusion & cooling-off flows
Transaction integrity & audit trails
Regulatory & management reporting
Bonus, promotion & loyalty engines
High-concurrency event handling

Sport &
Media

Nothing, then everything, the moment the whistle goes.

Sports platforms have a traffic profile that punishes anything built for a steady average. Our team has worked on sites and services where load arrives in a wall — kick-off, a result, a transfer story — and the architecture has to absorb it without a queue page.

That means caching strategy that holds under stampede, live data feeds ingested and normalised from providers who each do it differently, and editorial tooling that lets a content team publish in seconds rather than minutes.

Where we're useful
Live scores, fixtures & results
Third-party data feed integration
High-traffic caching & CDN strategy
Editorial & content workflows
Real-time push & notifications
Companion mobile apps
Streaming & media delivery
Peak-load testing & capacity planning

E-commerce
& Retail

Checkout is where the money is, and where most platforms quietly leak it.

Our team has built storefronts and the machinery behind them — catalogue and inventory synchronisation, multi-currency and multi-region pricing, tax and duty at the line level, and payment stacks tuned for authorisation rates rather than just "it works in test mode".

We work across both ends: the customer-facing storefront that has to be fast and persuasive, and the operational side — order management, fulfilment integration, returns, and the reporting that tells you which of it is actually working.

Where we're useful
Storefront design & build
Headless & composable commerce
Catalogue & inventory sync
Multi-currency & regional pricing
Checkout & payment optimisation
Fraud, 3DS & SCA compliance
Order management & fulfilment
Merchandising & conversion analytics

Food Delivery
& Logistics

Thirty seconds of latency is a cold meal and a refund.

Delivery platforms are three products wearing one name: a customer app, a merchant terminal, and an operations console — all of which must agree about the same order, continuously, over unreliable mobile networks.

Our team has worked on that shape of system, where the hard parts are dispatch logic, live driver tracking, accurate time estimates, and graceful behaviour when a device drops offline mid-shift. Getting the happy path working is a fortnight; getting the failure paths right is the job.

Where we're useful
Customer ordering apps
Merchant & kitchen terminals
Dispatch & allocation logic
Live driver tracking & ETAs
Offline-tolerant sync
Operations & support dashboards
Split payments & payouts
Ratings, refunds & resolution flows

Members' Clubs
& Hospitality

The sector we know best — because we built our own products in it.

Membership is a deceptively awkward domain: tiers, renewals, guest rules, house accounts, access control, and a committee who will want it configured differently next season. Add a venue floor to it and you're also dealing with bookings, events, and the screens on the wall.

SoundScreen and WordScreen are both live in this space, which means our understanding of it isn't theoretical. We know what a duty manager will actually do at 9pm on a Friday, and we build for that rather than for the org chart.

Where we're useful
Membership & tier management
Renewals, billing & house accounts
Bookings, events & guest lists
Access control & door systems
Member apps & portals
In-venue digital signage
EPOS & hospitality integrations
Committee & management reporting

Tax, Trade
& Compliance

Domains where approximately right is simply wrong.

Tariff classification, duty and landed-cost calculation, and cross-border trade rules are unglamorous and unforgiving. The logic is intricate, the reference data changes without asking, and an error doesn't surface as a crash — it surfaces months later as an underpayment.

Our team has worked on systems in this space, and the lesson carries: model the rules explicitly, version the data, make every calculation explainable back to its inputs, and never let a rule change require a code deploy.

Where we're useful
Tariff & commodity classification
Duty & landed-cost calculation
Cross-border trade rules
Rules engines & versioned reference data
Tax determination at line level
Auditable calculation trails
Regulatory reporting & filings
Integration with finance systems

Enterprise &
Professional Services

The software has to fit the business, not the other way round.

Most enterprise work isn't greenfield. There is already a Salesforce org, a Microsoft tenant, an identity provider, a reporting stack, and a decade of decisions you have to work with rather than around.

Our team has built the connective tissue for that environment — single sign-on that IT will actually approve, integrations that survive the other system's next upgrade, and internal tools that people use because they're faster than the spreadsheet they replaced.

Where we're useful
Salesforce integration & extension
Microsoft 365 & Azure AD / Entra ID
SSO — SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC
Internal tools & staff portals
Tableau dashboards & data feeds
API design & system integration
Legacy migration & modernisation
Role-based access & permissions

Not On This List?

The pattern matters more
than the industry.

Most of what makes a project hard isn't sector-specific — it's regulated data, awkward integrations, real-time state, money moving, or traffic that arrives all at once. We've dealt with all five. Tell us what you're building and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right team for it.
