Who we are

BACKSTAGEDIGITAL LTD ("Backstage Digital", "we", "us") is a private limited company registered in England & Wales, company number 17071149, with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.

We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

For any question about this policy or your data, email info@backstagedigital.co.uk.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. If you complete the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company or project name, if you provide one
  • The project type and approximate budget you select
  • Whatever you write in the message field

If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence and any personal data it contains.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, assess whether we are a good fit for your project, and, if we go on to work together, to administer that relationship.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has deliberately contacted us about our services. Where we go on to enter a contract with you, the lawful basis for the data needed to deliver that work is performance of a contract.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to clients we have worked with are kept for 7 years after the end of the engagement, to meet UK accounting and tax obligations.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers.

The site does load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch them, which means Google receives your IP address and basic request information. We have no access to that data. Google's handling of it is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Who else processes your data

Our website and email are hosted by IONOS, who process data on our behalf as our hosting provider. Data is stored within the UK/EU.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased
  • Restrict or object to how we use it
  • Ask us to transfer it to another provider

Email info@backstagedigital.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the date above.
